    • Firebox Repairs & Rebuild: Repairing cracked or spalling firebrick, repointing fireclay joints, replacing worn refactory panels, and completing full firebox rebuilds to ensure containment safety.
  • How Do I Know If My Chimney Needs Repairs?

Because much of your chimney system is hidden inside the flue or on top of your roof, problems aren't always obvious right away. However, there are warning signs that indicate professional repair.

    • Visible Masonry Damage: Cracking mortar joints, chipped or crumbling bricks (spalling), or loose brick on exterior chimney stack.
    • Efflorescence (White Staining): A chalky white film on outise brickwork, which indicates moisure is soaking through masonry.
    • Rusted Damper or Firebox Components: Rust stains on your damper, metal firebox panels, or grate, signaling high moisture levels inside flue.
    • Deteriorating Firebox: Cracked firebrick, missing mortar joints, or crumbling refactory panels inside fireplace.
    • Water Leaks or Moisture Damage: Water pooling in the firebox, damp drywall, or wallpaper near chimney, r water dripping inside the flue during rain.
    • Flue Tile Debris: Small pieces of cracked clay flue tiles falling into your firebox, which means your liner is degrading and losing heat protection.
    • Drafting & Performance Issues: Smoke backing up into your living room, persistent foul odors, or fires that stuggle to stay lit.
    • Missing Chimney Caps: An exposed flue opening, allowing rainwater, debris, and animals to enter freely.
  • Do You Provide Free Estimates?

Yes! We provide free, upfront estimates.

  • Why Should I Have My Chimney Inspected Regularly?

Regular chimney inspections are essential for home safety, energy efficiency, and avoiding costly emergency repairs. Even if you don't burn fires daily, seasonal weather, settling, and wildlife can cause hidden hazards.

    • Prevent Chimney Fires: Over time, burning wood creates creosote, a highly flammable byproduct that builds up inside your flue. Regular inspections detect dangerous accumlation before it leads to a fire.
    • Stop Carbon Monoxide & Gas Hazards: Cracks in your flue liner or blockages from bird nests and debris can allow toxic fumes and carbon monoxide to leak back into your living space.
    • Catch Moisture Damage Early: Oregon's heavy rain is masonry's worst enemy. Inspections catch hairline cracks, leaking flashing, or damaged crowns before water rots your homes framing or causes structural brick failure.
    • Save Money on Major Repairs: Fixing a small mortar joint or hairline crack today prevents a full, expensive chimney rebuild down the road.
    • Maintain Home Insurance & Warranty Compliance: Many insurance policies and fireplace insert warranties require proof of annual professional inspection maintenance to honor claims.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends having your chimney, fireplace, and vents inspected at least once a year to keep your hearth safe and operating efficiently.

  • What Makes Your Company Different From Other Chimney Contractors?

    • Over 45 Years of Local Hertiage: Operating continuously since 1979, we aren't a national franchise or a pop up operation. We bring over four decades of hands on experience specific to PNW homes and weather.
    • Customer First Transparency: We provide free, honest estimates on repairs and never recommend unnecessary work. Our goal is long term home safety, not a high pressure sales pitch.
    • Exclusive Thermocrete Lining Technology: We are proud to be the only chimney company in Oregon that offers Thermocrete cermic lining.
    • Woman Owned, Locally Led: Owned and operated by Selene Rayl, our business has been built on transparent communication, fair pricing, and treating every client like a neighbor.
  • Will You Keep My Home Clean While Completing Chimney Work?

Of course! Keeping your living space spotless is on of our highest priorities. We treat your home with the utmost care and respect, ensuring zero soot, ash, or debris escape into your living areas while we work!

  • Do You Guarantee Your Work?

Yes! We stand behind every repair, cleaning, and structural project we complete with a firm 1 year labor warranty alongside material coverage.

    • 1 Year Labor Warranty
    • Manufacturer & Material Warranties
    • Code & Safety Compliance
    • 100% Clean Home Guarantee
  • What is Thermocrete?

Thermocrete is an advanced, spray applied ceramic chimney lining system used to repair, seal, and restore damaged or deteriorating flues without needing to tear down masonry. Applied by our factory trained technician James, Thermocrete coats the inside of your chimney with a seamless ceramic finish that expands to fill cracks, gaps, and worn mortar joints.

    • Non Destructive Restoration: Unlike traditional liner replacements that require breaking out original clay flue tiles or altering the chimney structure, Thermocrete is sprayed directly onto existing flue walls which saves time, money, and a messy demo.
    • Superior Durability & Corrosion Resistance: Once cured, Thermocrete forms a smooth, ultra durable ceramic barrier that is impervious to creosote, moisture, acidic exhaust, and temps exeeding 2,000F.
    • Strengthens Existing Masonry: As ceramic sealant penetrates cracks, it binds old clay tiles together, significantly strengthening the overall chimney stack and making it vastly safer against heat transfer and chimney fires.
  • What is Siloxane Waterseal?

Siloxane Waterseal is a deep penetrating, clear masonry water repellent specifically engineered to protect porous exterior surfaces like brick, concrete, stone, and mortar joints from moisture damage.

Unlike traditional silicone paints or wax coatings that form a solid plastic film on top of the surface, siloxane penetrates directly into the microscopic pores of the masonry and chemically bonds below the exterior surface.

    • 100% Breathable Protection: The most important feature of siloxane is that it seals out liquid while remaining vapor permeable. It prevents rain from soaking into brick while allowing internal water vapor that is generated inside the home or fireplace to escape safetly into the air.
    • Prevent Spalling & Freeze Thaw Damage: Trapped moisture that freezes during cold weather expands, causing bricks to crack, flake, or pop off (spalling). Siloxane prevents water absorption so winter freeze thaw cycles won't destroy your stack.
    • Invisible Natural Finish: It does not leave a glossy sheen, film, or discoloration. The masonry retains its completely natural texture and aesthetic.
    • UV & Chemical Resistance: Because it bonds deep within, siloxane won't yellow, peel, or break down under prolonged sun exposure.
  • Do You Offer Any Discounts?

Yes, we do! Our discounts include:
